Lurk, is a fan film created by Loot Crate Studios, that is based on the Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) comic “Fray” which tells a story about Melaka Fray, the vampire slayer approximately 200 years post-Buffy. Fray has the strength, agility, and other physical attributes of the vampire slayer. With it being the 20th Anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it’s a perfect time for the vampire slayers to come alive on film.
The six-minute fan film follows Fray as she is held by police for questioning. During this, the scenes cut to her fight against the vampires, which are very well done. Stefanie Woodburn convincingly plays the vampire slayer and would love to see her tackle the character more. Corey Page is the other highlight here as the fishy cop trying to keep Melaka off the streets. Check out the action below.
In every generation, there is a Chosen One. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons, and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer. Based on the characters created by Joss Whedon, this fan-film imagines one night in the futuristic city of Haddyn and the 19-year-old Slayer, Melaka Fray.
