Fan Film Friday: Han Solo: A Smuggler’s Trade

Welcome to Fan Film Friday!!

Actor/Fan Jamie Costa recently released his Han Solo Fan Film, “Han Solo: A Smuggler’s Trade”, which takes place before Episode IV: A New Hope. Though we will soon see a younger Han Solo in the theaters, it’s great to see someone bringing the smuggler back to film closer to his age in “A New Hope”, and I must say that it is quite impressive!

Check it out below after the synopsis:

Synopsis:

The Universe’s favorite intergalactic smuggler sets out on an epic quest to rescue an old friend.   He uses his mechanical skills, cunning wit, and his creative interpretation of the rules to fight, flirt, bribe, and barter his way to victory.  But will it be enough?  Before there was A New Hope, there was Han Solo – just an outlaw trying to survive in a galaxy more corrupt than he is … and far less forgiving.

Jamie Costa does a great job portraying our favorite smuggler. It’s amazing how close some of his facial expressions are to Harrison Fords.  There are even some lines that Jamie delivers that makes you have to remember that this is not Harrison Ford.  The story is fun and the film looks great, and is very enjoyable.  Also, you can’t have a Han Solo film without his “walking carpet”, Chewbacca.  The Wookie looks and sounds great and was a welcome treat to the film.  Overall it’s an impressive effort by the team and if they did more of these, I’d be quite happy!
